“Prudence” 100cm x 100cm / Acrylic on Canvas

In every work lies the history of the piece from the artist mind. Let me remember painting this one...let me go back to it... I'm seeing a huge canvas infront of me, It's white and empty! What do I entend to do with it? I remember Budot Lizares once said to me, each time he faces an empty canvas... he felt liked as if he stood on a high cliff watching down what's below. I't's scary! ... but be brave then, he added. As for me... I have this picture in mind, we artists have this discretion in us to foretell, foresee what will come about to what we are about to create. Prudence is a default to us. We draw or paint after seing things in our mindscapes. After all our paintings are just mirrors of our thoughts.

Close up details.

ConAir

Did it ever occured to you to be in a flight where you don't want to? To us OFW's i't's been a thing that we all have to swallow. The sad part of going back to your work ( far away from your love ones ) after a month vacation from your family back home. Mabigat at masakit tanggapin ang katotohanan. Why do we have to go to other countries to earn a living? I don't wan't to elaborate to the answers and every filipino knows about it. What I painted here was what I felt to be in these flights... where every stepped you make seem's so heavy. From your house going to the airport... it could be more likenened to Christ having his cross on his way to calvary. And by the time the steward tells you to pasten your seat belts on... as if you felt like sitting on an electric chair, sentenced to death. Then they will offer you food which you can't hardly eat as if to you looks like a dog sh...t. It's a sentence that we are all paying 'til now, and who's crime was this? You know who?

AP7 Studio

I've been working as an Art Director here in Afkar Promoseven Riyadh for almost ten years now, an ad agency affiliated with McCann Erickson Worldwide. A painting hangs on the wall somehow to remind me of the jealous mistress... Painting.

Squares

It's always good to see abstracts on a square. Is there anybody can explain this phenomena?

Samurai Sword Headboard

A Samurai Sword for a headboard? Yes... I need it on my dreams.

“Tagu-an at banatan” ( Hide and sex )

“Tagu-an at banatan” by Edbon Sevilleno / 80cm x 80cm oil on canvas / 2001
It is best sometimes to leave the enigma behind or else there will be no mystique riddles left for the painting to scrutinize. I am not really a good writer, I rather paint than write. The very reason I painted it beacause I can't explain it by words, so be it.
